The presidential office on Thursday banned MBC reporters from boarding the presidential jet during Yoon's visit to Southeast Asia. This decision came approximately two months after the broadcaster ― together with other domestic and international media ― reported that Yoon had been caught on camera using a profanity when speaking about U.S. President Biden and the U.S. Congress during his trip 

to New York, subtitling his remark.

대통령실이 윤석열 대통령의 동남아시아 순방에서 MBC 기자들의 대통령 전용기 탑승을 목요일에 금지시켰다. 이러한 결정은--다른 국내외 언론사와 함께--MBC가 윤대통령의 뉴욕 방문을 취재할 때, 미 바이든 대통령과 미 의회를 언급하며 사용한 윤대통령의 비속어가 카메라에 잡혔을 때 그의 발언을 MBC가 자막으로 처리한지 정확하게 두 달 뒤에 취해졌다. 

President Yoon Suk-yeol promised Monday to reprimand those who are responsible for the Itaewon crowd crush and overhaul the police's risk management and response system. He also made a formal apology as the president who is in charge of the public's safety.

Park Jeong-ha, 62, one of the two miners who survived 10 days trapped underground until helping hands miraculously arrived, has 25 years of experience working in the profession. One life-saving tip he remembered from a survival manual, in the event of a tunnel collapse, was not to stay helplessly in one place after becoming trapped but to salvage what is available and prepare a shelter to minimize the danger. This is what he and the other miner did, barricading the place with vinyl coverings to block the cold wind.

A train derailed in central Seoul on Sunday, injuring some 30 passengers, the operator said. The derailment occurred at 8:52 p.m., when the Mugunghwa train with 275 passengers on board was entering Yeongdeungpo Station in central Seoul, according to the Korea Railroad Corp. (KORAIL). 

일요일 서울 중심부에서 열차가 탈선해 30여명이 부상당했다고 철도측이 밝혔다. 코레일에 따르면 275명을 실은 무궁화호가 영등포 역에 들어설 당시인 오후 8시52분에 탈선이 발생했다. 

Facebook parent Meta is laying off 11,000 people, about 13 percent of its workforce, as it contends with faltering revenue and broader tech industry woes, CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a letter to employees Wednesday.
